We are tentatively planning a day at Silver Star ski resort this Sunday February 22nd. We would head out fairly early, bring skates for the kids, snow gear, sleds and lots of hot chocolate!
Gabe and his brother, Matthew, are going to be snowboarding and we hope a few more; Krystal and perhaps some others will hang at the bottom of the hill with the kids perhaps taking in a few runs of boarding. Should be something wintery and fun for everyone to enjoy as we bid winter a fond farewell and welcome the upcoming spring!
Silver Star has a lovely skating pond that actually has islands in the middle of it so you can skate a loop, there are two hockey rinks for those who want to bring sticks. Skating is $4.00. There is also a tube town which can be lots of fun. A 2hr session is $14 for the kids and $16 for adults. (I bet we could wander around somewhere and sled down a little hill on our own too.) Day boarding passes are $71.00 for adults. I can’t seem to find any discounts on that. Sometimes the local Coopers in town will have discounts… 25% off if you are a Sun Peaks season pass holder.
A Day pass could be shared between two peepsicles as well
