Kamloopians or is it Kamloopsians?

let’s all get together a little more often

Easter Weekend Journey

Good Morning.

Plans appear to be solidifying on camping at Ellison Park in Vernon later this week :) So among the other goings-on in our busy lives, please come and enjoy taking it down a notch with friends.

We’re looking at arriving during the day Friday (or possibly even thrusday evening) and leaving later Saturday; in time for other activities back in town (Jackie’s Birthday Party!). Gabriel and his good friend Colin will be doing some free-diving, there is some beginner rock climbing to be had, perhaps a kayak or canoe on the water and others will be relaxing shore side or exploring the beautiful park. We encourage potluck style meals to be shared and enjoyed with all who crave a new experience or are looking forward to a familiar one.

Please feel free to invite others, and children are always always welcome :)

(yes I meant to say that twice and no ours will not be with us.)

Last Weekend in June…

The final 5 days of June are destined to be ours on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Camp on the shoreline of the far end of the Seymour Arm in the Shuswap. Random fireworks, water treks, micro community made up of locals but tourists.

Sound interesting?

I am updating this post now that it is April and the idea of camping is actually appealing. The campground is Silver Beach and it is about 2.5 hours from Kamloops with the final hour or so being on a dirt road. We are hoping to score a campsite along the beach (there are lots so odds are good) but you cannot reserve. Who ever wants to head up on Thursday to secure us a space is my hero!

I would really like to see a sizeable group for this excursion it is campground camping so not everyone’s cup of tea but the location is absolutely marvelous and the kids will have a ball!
